Anyrail, how to cut track length

Rescued TrainsOGR Forum Member SUPPORTING MEMBERDIGITAL SUBSCRIBER

Just bought the license for Anyrail and am having a great time using it, however I can't seem to find how to cut or shorten a piece of track. I manage to get the pop up menu with the "knife" icon and "cut flex here" command, but cannot figure out how to use it. Cannot find help in the on-line manual. Would greatly appreciate any help.
