Note that none of the European product is 1/48th. Some is 1/45th and some is 1/43rd. But it all ran fine on my layout. And the passenger cars are truly beautiful pieces of work and look great behind French steam or Austrian or German crocodiles.
None of the European product is inexpensive (of course, what in this hobby is?), but IMO the price definitely shows up in the product that you hold in your hands or run on your layout. Top drawer all the way!
thanks for the info but if you bought the european stuff as it came out yes it was easy to get them but nowadays it is very difficult to find pieces because all are sold out for a good period now. so nowadays it's hard to find certain pieces... like the steam engines Chapelon 231 and the big 241a, or the bavarian locos.
