armatures foe pre war engines

Hi everyone: I am about to try to rewind some armatures that I have laying around and maybe I can tap some of the knowledge out there. They are all pre war type six or type seven motors. I made a jig that I saw on You tube that should help but my problem is I would like to remove the commutator and I can not see how it is on the shaft. Does anybody know how it is on there was it pressed on or epoxied on Does anybody sell them. I know a couple of guys do rebuild them and probably do a great job but I would like to try this myself.
