On my layout I created Freedom Park in memory of my Dad, who landed on Omaha Beach with the Big Red One on June 6, 1944. His division pushed all the way through France and into Germany. Freedom Park features an authentic stone from Omaha Beach which I picked up in 1999 when I visited the D Day beaches with my Dad. Freedom Park also features an authentic piece of the Berlin Wall given to me by a German friend who lived in Berlin at the time the wall came down.
