Thanks for the advice, I did have it laid out on the plywood in the driveway, however I only have 2 pieces of half curves and a couple of 10" straights plus about 40 3ft straights. Before I started cutting track I was hoping someone with RR Track could give me some specifics.

Rail, I like your old drill press, I remember having one like that back on the farm.
