Reply to "arriving from Atlas and MTH"

Hi @J. Motts

Atlas purchased a select number of MTH's O Scale Premier line of tooling several years ago when Mike Wolf announced his plans to retire.  The list of models that Atlas purchased the tooling for, which includes both rolling stock and locomotives, can be found in the link below.  Any former MTH products using the former MTH tooling purchased by Atlas will be produced by Atlas and sold under the Atlas brand.  MTH continues to exist as an independent model manufacture as several of the long-time employees have purchased the remainder of the company's O scale tooling (Scale Trains purchased the former MTH HO and S Scale Tooling).  MTH will continue to produce models with the retained MTH tooling as well as develop new tooling for new future models.  All models produced by remaining MTH-owned tooling will all be produced by MTH and branded as MTH.  Therefore, MTH will produce the H10-44 model under the MTH brand as the H10-44 was not listed in the Atlas tooling purchase list shown below.

For the 2-Railers, it appears that Atlas has intentions to offer some of the former MTH Premier Line models in 2-Rail in the future as tooling modifications seem to be underway on select models.  For example, Atlas had an Amtrak P42 Genesis passenger diesel (former MTH O scale Premier Line model included in the Atlas tooling acquisition) on display at the recent Springfield, MA model train show with pre-production fixed pilots and 2-Rail wheels.
