No shop work required for the 3/2 trucks. Remove the pickup rollers, take the bottom cover off the truck, remove the 3-rail wheelsets, and install the MTH 2-rail wheelsets. Place 3/2 switch in "2" and go. Like the MTH GP7/9, MTH did not, to my knowledge, make fixed pilots for the S2.

Seems like a business opportunity.....for a $## fee, we will convert these 3 rail locos to 2 rail....
