It depends. The Kadee #805 "scale" coupler will actually couple to most of the manufacturers toy train "claw couplers". However, Atlas' own brand of "scale" couplers do not play well with the big toy train "claw couplers". Then, of course are the 2-Rail "scale" wheels, which generally do NOT play well on some of the 3-Rail track styles.
