I've been too involved with my CZ train, so I decided to review my other dream consist: the 17,600 tank train. I've only gathered 20 of these beauties, and I intend to get around 50 to make for a spectacular train. Many paint schemes have been produced, so if you love Atlas tanks please share them here.
I think these cars are wonderful, I love the sense of weight they have, how Atlas faithfully reproduced the bent-barrel and seam jackets and how busy the under frame is. I just wish they would consider offering more than 4 road numbers so we could have a more consistent train. It would also be nice, if Atlas invested in new dome configurations so we could have some variety.
It's tempting for me to get their new 25,000 tanks, but I think a consistent long string of the 17,600 cars would look better in the end.
In their price range these are the absolute best!
