FWIW...I having some of our special run MTH hopper cars (NYO&W, and Clinchfield), and drop bottom gondolas (MEC and C&EI) done in 2 rail. Its more a logistics problem with MTH than anything else. If they have the trucks available, they dont mind doing 2 rail. Also had our previously released MTH Premier 64' wood coaches done in 2 rail. And the new 89' auto racks will be avbl in 2 rail. So 2 rail isnt dead...just have to work a little harder to get it made...
