Atlas track

I have a 10x10 layout with lionel super O track. I am getting ready to expand. I am thinking about using Atlas track. It looks like it may be easier to layout. I don't like the look of lionel fastrak. The Atlas track looks similar to super O. I am sure I can adapt it to connect to super O. Anyone have any experience doing this? Any input would be appreciated.
