Reply to "Atlas track"

I made the switch to Atlas O and don't regret it. IMHO Atlas O is the closest thing to Super O. I wish Lionel would have brought Super O back with wider radius curves and switches. If they ever did I would buy it. I never had a problem with Super O cutting my rollers. Maybe it is because I came of age with Super O. I got my first Lionel in 1958 at the age of 7. I had received a Marx set two years earlier. I started buying Super O in 1966 and did not have enough to build the lay out I wanted until 1974. I finished high school and college while doing this time. I miss those days. Trains were cheap until about 1972. The dollar was worth a lot more. While I would rate Super O better. Atlas O is the next best thing unless you can build your own Super O curve and switches like Super O Bob. Check out his layout
