Okay so here's the latest batch of vehicles;
The "Lego" sub will be discussed in another topic. The REA step van is an American Heritage Models with the Wrigley's Spearmint advertisement on the side. While there is no indication of scale it does have No. 0143 on the bottom. Comparing it to the other vehicles pictured it's a good bet that means 1/43 scale. Next in line is a Maisto 1/43 scale VW Bug. It just came out of a box of my 27 year old son's MicroMachines. The black one was the 1/48 scale, $1.98 Walmart special discussed previously. I've been looking at the brown TONKA everyday since April. It always struck me as being to small, until I flipped it over a few days ago and saw it was a Maisto 1/48 scale from 2001. Compared to the $1.98 special it's the same size. So now I've got 5 vehicles that need detailing this winter.
