I have used a back pack at train show for years. When going to out of town train shows my wife would drop me off and go shopping and pick me up a few hours later so I needed a way to carry the stuff purchased at the show and back to the car.

I also carried a couple of nylon meshed bags for larger items or over flow. That is how got out of the show with two large stacks of OGR and OGS magazines from run 107 and up and large items like Marx light towers and the Lionel Barrel loader. If York or other shows have limits on back pack size you have to comply but extra foldable bags will help carry your purchases.
