The paint and decals are here... I’ve almost got all of the old paint off the shell...

Those of you who have used Scalecoat paints: would you recommend using a primer, or just spraying right on the plastic? I do have the scalecoat II paint (plastic safe), and the shell is molded in grey plastic...
