I have used Liquid Nails Foam glue on two different layouts and it is good. But cheap white glue is as good as it gets for glueing extruded foam--if one has the patience to wait until it tacks before proceeding with the next application. However, you can pin the fresh glued foam with finishing nails as long as up to 16p, if necessary, to hold while you proceed more quickly.
It helps to remove the poly skin from blue or pink foam before stacking/glueing [or painting]..
I use all the special and more costly glues mentioned for many applications,but not for foam. You better read the fine print on what you use or you may find cavities in your foam after the fact.
