That might have been deliberate; Sheldon's girlfriend isn't a train nut like he is (like most spouses/girlfriends are in real life), and the mispronunciation was probably supposed to reflect that.

On the other hand, one would be inclined to think Sheldon, being the anally retentive person he is, would have been quick to correct her so perhaps not...
