Considering the large amount of postwar S available at the larger shows, and the fact that there are not all that many postwar S buyers, I would think the dealers would need to at least be friendly. The ones I ran into at York were very nice, and willing to deal.

 

I have to say as a lionel guy, my dad has over 120 boxed Gilbert s gauge sets. I watch a lot of flyer sets on Ebay with him just to see what they bring. There must be big collectors out there cause the flyer sets boxed bring a lot more money than any lionel set could imagine. I see just single rare cars go for $3000. Some sets will sell for crazy money.
