Wow! Fantastic information. Thanks everyone!! Just to add, I found a photo of what one of these stations might have looked like in it's original box. It looks REALLY small though, compared to the trains. Seems like Bing simply wanted to include "any" station in this box set but not make the box itself too large!
Back to the question of what size I should use for gauge 0 small Bing trains, seems like the 14-15"inch version would be more suitable (Thanks Robert for the size comparison to 0 gauge trains)
*Little note about this photo also, is that it seems that the station itself would be sized differently to even the crossing guard house pictured below:
