I'm getting increasingly frustrated with my MTH locos. My first post was the mars light not working on my 20-2222-1 DL-109. I am also ready to gut my BL-2 (MT-2132LP) and install Williams electronics. The loco has hardly any run time on it, but a couple years ago I had to replace a chip, because the Protosound sounds like it's running, but the engine won't move. I even sent it to MTH for repairs, but it's back to the same problem. I also find it bizarre that this MTH locomotive will not work at all with MTH transformers (Z-750)...but when it did work, it only worked with Lionel transformers. Any ideas before I have it "re-engined"? I think I've spent about enough money on it-
