No, fidelity to SIZE is what makes it SCALE.

BLT by Lionel on the rolling stock and engines.

I have never seen that visibly displayed on locomotives, only freight cars. I have not seen the name on engines either, my bad for including engines.

Have you noticed the manufacture name on your car/truck, they even have the dealers name.

In current times, the "dealers name" is optional, or is simply a license plate frame. As to the manufacturer, if one can't tell a BMW from a VW, from a Ford,,,,,,then I believe you have a problem.  You may be correct but the cars I see have a Dealers name, it can be removed. I don't consider not knowing every make of car by sight a problem and if you can identify all the different makes ????

Oh well, I would not know scale unless it was it is a large engine/rolling stock.

Well then, I guess you really aren't concerned with this "SCALE" discussion. I found it interesting and fully respect the "scale folks"

Had I known my remarks would tick someone off, I would not have commented. This discussion was about "BLT Lionel", with a few innocent remarks about scale.

All my toys run in circles and when they break, to the trash they go.

This is a great forum and I enjoy reading .
