Regarding the Pioneer Zephyr and broken ring, I have posted the dimensions of the worm gear along with a picture. Unfortunately in my case and many others, the replacement motors are not listed as available. Where does one obtain a wheel puller that will do this job. The standard O and STD pullers that I have will not work.

Hi Eric,

Read your earlier thread on the Zephyr, pulling the worm off with out destroying the rest of the motor/flywheel is near impossible. Let alone putting it on the new motor with board and flywheel.

I have had the same issue with a past thread and that powered B unit is now a dummy B unit.

I would call Lionel and see if in fact they can or cannot provide you with the new motor with the worm, sensor, and flywheel intact as an assembly...
