Reply to "Finished up Building a ceiling layout"

Tom:

Your ceiling project for trains is an inspiration to other hobbyists, including me, who face a similar situation; i.e., nowhere to go but UP for expansion. My intent is to create a route that would accommodate my larger-size trains using Lionel FasTrak with O72 curves and switches.  Those trains cannot be run on the lower level because it has O42 curves and switches, the largest curvature that would fit on the platform in the room.

My problem .. installing a ceiling route in an L-shaped train room with a 15x19 feet L-shaped layout already in place below it is a logistical challenge -- how to install the wall-mounted ceiling shelf with tight aisles at the lower level below and also avoid damage to the layout while working on the "nose bleed" route above it.  I know ... I should have installed the ceiling route FIRST. I confess I wasn't thinking far enough ahead.

I prepared a track plan with ANYRAIL software. It's attached for reference. Meanwhile, that plan is "waiting" for a solution.  I welcome comments from FORUM-ites.
