Thanks Mark!  I definitely agree she’s a beaut!  Of all the articulated steam locomotives out there, I had always wanted a Yellowstone.

What I thought was really cool is even though this is a what if paint scheme, the western Maryland was actually considering buying the EM1 because of the success the B&O had with it. Unfortunately, that never came to pass as the EM 1 was in existence for only a short time

I had originally wanted an M2 challenger but after some extensive research I found out that the M2 challengers from MTH had significant gear binding problems and other mechanical issues and that the majority of people that bought them had more problems with them than good experiences, so I felt like I would rather have an engine that would run well even if it was somewhat of a what if situation for this particular road. Sometimes there’s a compromise in model railroading just because of mechanical problems and I would rather have an engine that runs well than one that’s just a shelf model if that makes any sense
