Looking in Greenberg's guide to American Flyer Prewar O Gauge (page 62), it appears your new engine is a 1938 4615-4 / 4315-4 Type XVI locomotive with 3301 Type VI tender. Would have been easier if they just put numbers on the engines! I'm not a Prewar Flyer expert, but that appears to be it based on the photo in the book.
