Can anyone provide a performance review on the Lionel ES44AC’s?
These are some features I have an interest in knowing about: slow speed, highball speed, horn, bell, coupler action, running in a consist, how many cars can it pull. Any issues with these engines? Thank you for your time.
The only comprehensive review to address these performance parameters that I've ever seen is in Classic Toy Trains magazine. Since the magazine deals mostly with O gauge and is published bi-monthly, not a lot gets reviewed, O or S. Usually the performance statistics are uniform so there must be some amount of equipment required. Seems out of the range of an average operator.
There are guys on Youtube making a nice income doing just that. Unfortunately, non of them care about S.
Maybe if one needs the info that much they could contact someone on youtube and explore the possibility of getting a review. As far as issues, they have been discussed on various threads on this forum.
