Can I Use a Working Tender from a Proto 1.0 Big Boy to TEST out a Proto 1.0 Cab Forward??

Hello, Here I am in all of my ignorance and madness!!!

My question is:I have a fantastic working Protosound 1.0 or Protosound(as I call them)#4012 Big Boy. I replaced the battery in the tender, and it all works like it is NEW.

I also have a Protosound AC-6 Cab Forward that I purchased, but I did not have the same luck with it. It runs, but does not have ANY LIGHTS,and now is not giving me the clinks and clanks like it did when I first tried it out.

CAN I PLUG The TENDER from the BIG BOY INTO The CAB FORWARD???,just to see what happens??,and if the lights will come on???,or will this DAMAGE the BIG BOY tender as well?????I don't have to do it, but when I had them out, my mind got to thinking, just plug the WORKING TENDER into the CAB FORWARD.

Yeah, let's blow everything up!!!!! I thought I would ask you guys first before trying a move like this.I know NOTHING about these old Protosound Trains, but they are very nice models!!!!!

These are my first two Protosound 1.0 engines, and I LOVE them. The BUILDS of the trains have much more"HEFT",the railings are thicker than Lionel postwar. The details, everything is METAL.And HEAVY METAL.

SO will I mess everything up if I plug the Big Boy tender into the Can Forward????? Or should I just be patient and wait for the master tech to get his schedule clear so he can look at it for me???  I am in no hurry to mess everything up, but I wanted to know if this could be done.

Does each engine require it's own tender, and that tender only???I know the sounds will not be right, but can you RUN the cab forward with the WORKING Tender??

Thanks in advance,-Kenny Baughman
