What tracker John said. A legacy power master or older Lionel tpc unit will run Mth trains conventionally.

I have run PS2 locos with a TPC unit and they run very well . Once under way it's hard to tell they are being run conventionally.

Whistle, bell, and electrocoupler all respond to their respective buttons on the remote. MTH PFA's are accessed using keystrokes outlined in the TPC / Power master instructions.
