They are 18ish inches long, which does look pretty good but not to scale.
Note that they do not match up nicely with other brands' Amfleets.
If you are looking for a cab car, Lionel makes the only model available, so plan on buying Lionel Amfleets too.
Your train's Amfleets should be all one brand, but any Amfleets look fine with other brands' other rolling stock.
For example, I have MTH Amfleets running with Golden Gate Viewliners.

Frankly, I prefer MTH and GGD Amfleets, but I really wanted that cab car.
