By the way, I worked with Bob on an article that I submitted to OGR on how to re-wire the Lionel O27 switches to use external power and stop the buzzing too. I asked him to co-author it with me and he was too humble to do that, so I submitted it and right up front gave full credit to him, saying that my article is completely from HIS knowledge.
OGR never published it but when I mentioned it here on the forum many years ago I've gotten close to 100 requests for the article, which I email to the requestors.
