Changing and updating MTH sound files

Good morning all,

I thought I have read this in more then one place, but I can’t seem to find the post/source at this time.

Can specific sound files be edited? Looking to change the horn / bell or the PFA in a sound set. Looking to do both PS3 and 3v PS2
