CMC maroon match

Since CMC colors are being discussed, I'd like to throw one more out there.

The catalogue Steve has shared with us describes the use of "maroon" on the roofs of both the Milwaukee Road box cab electric and the narrow vestibule passenger cars. The instructions for assembling the car kits identifies the roof color as being matched by Testors #1204, which now days is cataloged by Testors as "dark red", which it is. This "dark red" is nowhere near a match for the maroon roofs.

Can someone provide a color match for the maroon that was originally used by CMC on the Milwaukee Road items?
