Command Base Compatility Question?

I am using a Legacy base 2 with a TMCC base 1 and a TIU to run various DCS, TMCC and Legacy engines. Lately I seem to be getting more and more issues with communication with various TMCC engines using Cab1's and a CAB 1L. I retired a spare command base a couple of years ago for the same reason. My guess is that they have drifted off frequency and need to be re-tuned. As a temporary measure though I am wondering if I can swap in my base 1L in place of the base 1, and still run TMCC engines with either a Cab1 or a Cab1L?
