CNC and laser cutters are a 2D subtractive process while a 3D laser resin or tube printers are a 3D additive process. I have a home built 3D (three axis) CNC machine that I have never got working because of issues with the end stops. Both of my working printers (laser cutter and resin) are used to create parts that work together to interconnect the parts.
