I second the recommendation not to go with a used Lionel Powermaster. The new Legacy Powermasters or the integral Powermasters in a ZW-L are far superior and come with a warranty. . The original TPCs can control MTH PS1 locos, but the original Lionel Powermaster was largely incompatible with MTH PS1 locos, for one example.
