Reply to "Converting an AF S gauge steel gondola to On30"

Ryan,

My layout is freelance; an On30 prosperous1950's narrow gauge railroad based in the Eastern Virginia Tidewater area that runs to the mountains.

Most of my rolling stock is either San Juan Car Co. or Accucraft.  I acquired about 40 pieces for almost nothing before I started the current layout.  I have a dozen Bachmann hoppers and  six cabeese.

I have 3 MMI On30 locos (acquired with the rolling stock deal) that I equipped with Tsunami but do not operate as they are horrible runners. I operate using 2 B'mann 2-8-0s, 2 B'mann 4-6-0s, and 2 BLI 2-8-0s.

Everything is equipped with Kadee 803/807 couplers at On3 height.  I find them to be much more reliable than the San Juans.
