I'm the thread starter on this one. Just wanted to add that I converted all my UCS tracks to the wiring from Stan above and am using momentary switches to activate.

So much smoother and snappier operation on the unloading function. And I finally could ditch those old Lionel two-button controllers which I've always disliked.
