Crispy TIU'S

My two TIU's at the club are well done. I wonder what that funny smell is? Why won't these connectors work anymore?
I purchased banana plugs from Home Depot that did not hold up and made a bad connection into the TIU so here are the results.

I was able to find heavy duty terminal binding post replacements from Amazon.

I had to replace 3 terminals in one TIU and 1 terminal in the other.

These parts were not available from MTH and everyone knows how easy it is right now to replace a TIU.
