Sorry but that is incorrect. I buy from all manufacturers, Lionel probably more than others true but I doubt you've ever saw me put down a product from any of them because of something like this.
Fact is I happen to like all the bells and whistle. While I did learn it isn't prototypically correct, from you, I still like the feature. Even though it isn't exact it does at least add play value.
A swinging bell on the wrong model would be different regardless of manufacturer. Again another item I learned from your posts. Some shouldn't swing. To me that is more visually an issue than the steam release. Again this is just my opinion and personal tastes I guess.
