Reply to "DCS TIU & AIU on large layout"

MI-Marc:  My personal recommendation would be to keep the TIUs above the table.  (They could be disguised in buildings if you short the fuses and use external breakers or fuses, reducing the need to access them).  Anything, be it concrete wall , wood, etc., may diminish the remote-TIU signal, however slightly.  Under no circumstances let metal, like chickenwire, come between them.  Also, do not stack the TIUs, or have anything metal near them. 

 

The above suggestions are based on my experience on my 39'x16' layout.
