Either the battery might be bad or the charging circuit is not functioning. possibly, you had a wire become disconnected from the 10 connector.
I can tell you this ounce you add your engine and save it, it has not been stored yet until you tell the engine with the DCS remote to shut down or if in conventional, it's suppose to save the engine number on power down! if the battery circuit is not working the engine id will not be saved. the way you can tell add the engine and let it run then while its running turn the power off , you should hear the sounds for 6 to 10 seconds after power down, if it does not continue to make sound for 6 -10 seconds the battery circuit is not working and you will loose the address you had created. it save the engine id every time you power down! I know as in had it happen to me , i believe you don't have a bad board check the battery wiring form the 2 pin red ,n black connector to the battery. compare all wiring in this circuit against the upgrade paperwork it is all color coded.
Take your time as one short circuit and you'll blow the board!
