Fwiw, I think it would be wise to invest in sturdy detailed parts that are not available. Items such as

the ALCo Long fuel tank for RS units( w mounting screw holes to match Weaver RS3's)

PRR "bug eye" marker lights

EMD early barrel control stands

Cab interior signals ( cored for leds)

Backlit radios for control stands
