Detailing MTH Passenger Cars

I have three MTH Premier Union Pacific passenger cars (2 coachs and an observation) that I want to custom detail. Attached is photos of one of the cars and what I want them to look like. My question is what size styrene should I use? I was looking at .080 thick stuff but I'm not sure if that's too thick or not. Also, I'd like to get chairs very similar to the cars chairs, who would have them? I'm think scale city designs but I'm not sure. Thanks for the help.
