Die cast hood section, as well as the frame. Cab/and cab detail was plastic. A small switcher, the decision of a diecast hood was probably to add weight. Unfortunately the last two un-painted models that I worked with were poor quality. I had to do some fabrication to make them run again after they fell apart from the Zinc casting problem. Sad note about our global economy. Diecast parts left, plastic cab right.
Call it a hybrid.
