Different Avatars on diff devices?

I just may not have noticed this in the past, but today I was checking up on a topic I posted. I was using my iPhone. The avatar picture was someone totally unknown to me, but it was obviously someone's avatar (not a graphic or inappropriate). So I'm thinking my OGR account was hacked.

So I get home and check the desktop version of the forum (IE). Hmmm.... My picture is back to normal. Well, it's a picture of me that is... I then check the iPad. Yup. Still me. So I check the phone again, and there's the Mysterious Me.

What gives?
