I bought my grandson a Lionel Remote Control train set and later a MTH SD70ACe diesel that has DCC control. I am not using the DCC function but was wondering if I bought a DCC starter set, that I read about in Model Railroader, would I be able to also control the Lionel Remote Control engine? My main interest in DCC, or other remote control systems, is that when searching for accessories I see some are remote controlled and they require the additional purchase of a $150 controller. Would a DCC system also control accessories?
