I used a 6KW gas Homelite generator for years at my old house, it maintained 60hz pretty accurately. It was good enough that the clocks kept accurate time for the 9-10 hours a tank of gas lasted. There was no adjustment for speed, the governor kept the speed correct for 60hz output.
