I once ran a 95-car train up a 1% grade powered by two heavily-weighted HO scale Model Power Baldwin Sharks. That was many, many years ago.

It was very realistic. With the throttle wide open and supplying a full 12 volts, the train was moving at a scale 10-12 mph.

I still have those old Sharks...
