I was going to use one of the aforementioned dealers for a 3rd Rail engine. It was to be drop-shipped to me, with a significant discount. The dealer suddenly stopped communicating with me when I was ready to purchase. Go figure.
I ended up purchasing my one and only 3rd Rail engine directly from Scott .... and will do so in the future if I buy another.

Well, its right on the state income tax form we file each year, so I would say that most people *choose* to "have no idea" about it. Lol.
In Illinois, I believe the change in tax law concerned how an out of state business registered in the state. Before this year, if a business had a physical presence in the state, it would be required to collect sales tax. Now, merely a legal presence in the state triggers the sales tax collection requirement.
