One of the quick tells, if it has not been messed with, is the remote coil coupler on tender. That would need the protosound 1 or a QSI type sound system.

Mechanical coupler means DCRU and just whistle or horn card.

Same for PS-2/3 versus LocoSounds for newer engines. G
